I recently participated and played press for a military golf tourney. The guys and girls had a blast and got me thinking about the love of the game. Do you all think we will ever have a team or person that personifies this true love of the game?

Definitely not professionally. Way too many dollar signs.
College players mostly have their eyes on the dollar signs, and if they dont, their school does and ruins the love of the game for them.
I believe a fan could have a truer love of the game than the players, but you are asking for teams and players.
High School? Maybe, dont know too many high school players.
I think the kids, the young kids, out on the sandlot, in the gym, the playground, they play for the love of the game. I remember my daughter used to go out when snow was on the ground yet in the spring and round up kids for a kickball game. She loved kick ball then. That was for the love of the game.
