WNBA All Star Game

East 98, West 82

NEW YORK (AP) -- Katie Douglas and her Connecticut Sun teammates gave the Eastern Conference its first WNBA All-Star game victory. Douglas scored 16 points, Lindsay Whalen and Taj McWilliams-Franklin had 10 points apiece and 7-foot-2 center Margo Dydek had nine rebounds and four blocks to lead the East to a 98-82 over the West on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden.

Anyone catch this game?...I saw a good portion on it while in Milwaukee for business...First time the East wins...Katie Douglas played huge...

She credit her recent marriage for her improvement.

Nope, couldn't even tell you what day it was, what channel carried it, which team has the WNBA's best record, who leads the league in scoring or any of that. That's how good the WNBA's press coverage is.

LA is 17-5 in the West, Connecticut is 14-6 in the East...Diana Taurasi leads in scoring at a 23.7 clip...followed by two rookies Seimone Augustus and Cappe Pondexter...the 6'5" Aussie Lauren Jackson is still getting her 20 a game, but her rebounds are down to about 8 and her block shots as well. The ageless Lisa Leslie is also at +20 with about 9.6 rebounds a game...Leslie and Lauren tangle below...Leslie also has over 5,000 points in lifetime.

Becky Hammon leads the league in FT PCT with a nice .957 clip...and if the kept stats for being cute...she'd lead as well...
