Olympic sized hockey rink not to be in vancouver

Turns out it's too expensive to make the rinks Olympic/European-sized, so Vancouver's going to have the hockey teams play on NHL sized rinks in 2010.
Europeans will be peeved. So will those who like to see a slightly different game of hockey. Who didn't price that one out before the bid?

What's the difference of size between the Olympic and NHL rinks? And won't it be a "set back" to them?

Olympic size is bigger, and it takes the NHLers some time to get used to, whereas the Europeans play on it all the time.
