She played hockey up here in Brampton, just outside of toronto. The Cassie Campbell Community centre will have two ice rinks, an indoor pool and a gym.
Mayor called her a hometown hero and city council was unanimous in voting for this.
Here's to the women's hockey two time gold medal winner.

Good to hear...maybe I'll visit it the next time I am in Toronto.And I though she was born in Brampton too?


Campbell is one of the most successful and recognizable players in women's ice hockey history. The captain of the Canadian national team since 2001-02, she is a six-time world champion and two-time Olympic medallist, collecting silver at the 1998 Nagano Games and gold in Salt Lake City.
Campbell has 32 goals and 63 assists in 149 career games for Canada.
