Title IX and the like

does anyone else sorta think this is crap ?

im really not interested in starting a war of the sexes, but i dont see men and women as equals in the sports world

in the regular world women can get paid the same because they do the same work, or more if they do more work

but im tired of hearing women complain about money in sports

especially pay-outs and salaries for pro's

the ladies golfers dont deserve the same amount of money for purses as they cant play at as high a level, also of course it is up to the sponsor to determine the purse

anyone agree, or better yet disagree ?

Tell that to Anna Kournikova...she is laughing all the way to the bank...

Its a free market economy...if they get the fans they will get the money...little to do with ability...

Re: Title IX and the like

Women deserve equal pay as men in every aspect of their lives, however, if the women's tennis and golf tours don't generate the money to make that happen, then that is just economics. The salaries of women in pro team sports are tied into the revenue the team can generate. With no television money to speak of in a sport like women's pro basketball, they cannot make nearly the same. Also, they play a much shorter schedule.
By the way, if there were more women in here, you WOULD be starting a battle of the sexes, whether you were interested in it or not!
