Jones, who won five medals in Sydney, said she took 'the clear' for two years, beginning in 1999, and that she got it from former coach Trevor Graham, who told her it was flaxseed oil, the newspaper reported." No real surprise, I guess.

she is pathetic and has lost all my respect .... im sorry but i looked up to athletes when i was younger as i think most of us did, and i admire what they can do now .. because i cant do it ........... but for those that use steroids all that is out the window

who knows what i could do if i pumped my body full of steroids ... would i be an Olympic athlete .. probably not ......... would she be one without it .. maybe not

im sorry but it just ticks me off i feel like i wasted my time admiring her and people like her just to find out they cheated

I wouldn't be too outraged. Sure she cheated (although how many other competitors in the 00 Olympics were on something?) but she still worked her ass off to get to the Olympics and perform well.

But she did it with an edge (again, we assume everyone else was clean) and she does deserve to be stripped of all her 2000 Olympic achievements.

Yes. If she admitted steroids use, I believe that's a lifetime ban from the Olympics and she will be stripped of all medals.

I don't think they should take her medals away, but definitely nobody will care anymore about her. Just pathetic.

Before we got all out of whack on this...anyone really think that those Russian and East German women were drug free?...

Heck I think Marita Koch still holds the world record at 400 meters in 47.60 if memory serves...no one has come even a little bit close...think she was not on a few things?...Nope of the records are clean.

I really doubt Flojo was clean...but she is dead...so who can tell.

At least the Swimmers were...Shirley Babashoff got destroyed by Kornelia Enders in 1976...and guess who was on the juice?...Poor Babashoff got like five silvers...she once said that the East Germans looked like men...and sounded like men as well.
