Best Sports Radio/TV Calls

What are your favorite sports-related radio or TV calls of all time?

I have two: "Five seconds left... do you believe in miracles? Yes!" - Al Michaels, Miracle on Ice. & "High fly ball, to deep left field. She is... GONE! The impossible has happened!" - Vin Scully, 1988 World Series, Kirk Gibson's Game 1 homer.

Re: Best Sports Radio/TV Calls

"The Giants win the pennant! The Giants win the pennant! The Giants win the pennant! The Giants win the pennant!" etc.

Or

How about the one known all over the world, repeatable millions of times and always great:

Gσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσσl !

Or my personal favorite, Jack Buck and Tim McCarver after the final run had scored in the 1991 World Series:

I still get the same goosebumps as when i first "heard" it.

Cheers.

Jack Buck's radio call of Gibson's home run in 1988- "I can't believe what I just saw!"

Re: Best Sports Radio/TV Calls

Any of these Ralph Kiner calls as a Met announcer!

"All of his saves have come in relief appearances"
"All of the Mets road wins against the Dodgers this year occurred at Dodger Stadium."
"Cadillacs are down at the end of the bat."
"Darryl Strawberry has been voted to the Hall of Fame five years in a row."
"Hello, everybody. Welcome to Kiner's Corner. This is....uh. I'm...uh"
"If Casey Stengel were alive today, he'd be spinning in his grave."
"I think one of the most difficult things for anyone who's played baseball is to accept the fact that maybe the players today are playing just as well as ever."
"Now up to bat for the Mets is Gary Cooper."
"On Fathers Day, we again wish you all happy birthday."
"Solo homers usually come with no one on base."
"The hall of fame ceremonies are on the thirty-first and thirty-second of July."
"The Mets have gotten their leadoff batter on only once this inning."
"The reason the Mets have played so well at Shea this year is they have the best home record in baseball."
"This one deep to right and it is way back, going, going, it is gone, no off of the top of the wall."
"There's a lot of heredity in that family."
"Tony Gwynn was named player of the year for April."
"Two-thirds of the earth is covered by water. The other third is covered by Garry Maddox."
"You know what they say about Chicago. If you don't like the weather, wait fifteen minutes."

Cool Re: Best Sports Radio/TV Calls

John Miller's call on ESPN radio of the 2001 World Series after Scott Brosious hit a miracle homerun in the 9th against BK Kim, just one night after Tino Martinez hit one off of Kim in the 9th. I'll paraphrase:

It's hit to deep left field, way back - THEY DID IT A-GAIN!!!!!!!

I saw a book one time called The Greatest Sports Calls of the 20th Century or something like that, and it came with an audio CD. Not sure where you'd be able to find it, though. It's been a while since I've seen it.

Re: Best Sports Radio/TV Calls

I've seen it at a Barnes & Nobles in NYC for $4.98

I'm not sure which one, though. Sorry!
