I've got your back on this one bears. The question was who is the biggest sports star, not who is the better athlete or who is the better team. It is just a fun little poll to see if we can come up with the ultimate sports star.

Ther arguement with Tiger Woods not playing on a team doesn't hold water either. Jerry Rice didn't always play on championship teams or go undefeated, but there was never a doubt that he was the best receiver on the field. You can dominate at a position like Tiger does in golf.

So who a bigger sports star,Vince Young or Tiger Woods heres there resiemes

To answer your question this round, it is Woods. Young has not been around long enough to build the clout Tiger has.

well first of all i believe the question is who is the ultimate athlete so if that is the question than its Vince becuase he is the better all round athlete.

secondly i dont see how you can say the "team or individual" issue does not hold water when it clearly does. Tiger is an individual and as an individual he only plays for himself, he doesnt have to share playing time with anyone or let someone else take his putts or let someone else tee off for him. Vince however (despite what i might think) cant do everything on his own, his glory must be shared between his RB's, his WR's, his O line, defense, special teams...everyone on the team

and even when Jerry Rice was at his peak he never dominated the sport becuase he was an offensive player. there were great QB's and RB's and defensive players and kickers and all of that, so no matter how incredible Rice was, which he was, he could never dominate the sport becuase its impossible to dominate football as an individual, you can dominate it as a team but not as an individual becuase the sport is a team game not an individual one like golf is

i will agree that Vince cannot compete with Tiger due to the length of his career though

Vince Young is the man, everyone knows this,tigger was great in the past but not now ,hes too rich from caddy inc. to compete anymore..but really who honestly watches golf besides highlights, thats why we dont have a golf forum and any golf related news is under "other"..

btw in VY's accomplishments you forgot he was selected to the pro bowl his rookie season..

ok well either way i stand by my argument that two sportsman cannot be measured in terms of greatness if their sporting backgrounds are so different, Tiger is an individual and has competed and won as an individual, Vince competes and wins as part of a team, their sporting background are to different to compare them.

other comparrisons are ok like Nash and Beckham or Manning and Ronaldiho becuase these are guys from teams...the same way as a good comparrison would be Ali vs Woods or something like that

yeah ill complain about those who if i felt so passionatly about it. the point im trying to make is that you cant compare two players if one is an individual and one is from a team, im not trying to compare their abilities as sportsmen/women but if your going to ask they question who is the better sportstar and try and compare individuals to team players then yeah of course im going to complain about it, do i not have the right to do that?
