Which state's fans are more adamant about their favorite high school sport? Is it the Texas football programs that inspired 'Friday Night Lights' or the Indiana basketball programs that gave us the classic film 'Hoosiers' with Gene Hackman? Which fans do you think are the more devoted?

I've never been present but I'd have to say Texas high school football. Everything you read (news) or see (film/tv), those folk are just passionate/crazy about their high school sports.

Being from the north east, I can't imagine communities being that wrapped up in high school sports.

I think I have to go with Texas football, too. If the proliferation of movies, books, & t.v. shows is any indication, Texans are insane about their high school football, more so than Indiana is about basketball.....
