| I was thinking of the childhood I had with sports and saw it as a lifesaver from the troubles of reality, I remember the first sports video game I ever played, World Cup 98 for the Playstation, now back then I had no idea of what the world cup or soccer in general was, but I loved that game none the less. My favorite part was the classics it had, I played that all the time from west germany vs england to uruguay vs argentina. After 98 I lost touch with soccer till well 02 and was still on and off till 06, but now its my third favorite sport behind college basketball and college football. What was your first game, what console you had for it, and what part was your favorite?

| Re: Your first Sports game... Wow... I guess I'm an old fart when compared to you young pups. I used to have football and baseball games for my old Atari 2600. Used to drive my folks nuts cause I'd do my own play-by-play. After that, I eventually graduated up to Tecmo Bowl, 10-Yard Fight, John Elway Football, and RBI baseball for the NES, then Joe Montana Football, NHL 94 and the Mutant League games on the Sega Genesis -- not to mention things like NBA Jam and Cyberball in the arcades. Still going strong today, with Wii Sports and Madden 2007 on my Nintendo Wii (my created NFL Superstar ran for 5,000+ yards in his rookie season).

| Re: Your first Sports game... Lefty, That's odd... I didn't know they had electricity back when you were a kid. JK, pretty much all those NES games you mentioned... particularly Tecmo Bowl (Bo Jackson all day) and RBI Baseball. Don't forget NBA Jam. Or was that SNES??? |

NBA Jam... man, that game ticked me off. I played it in the arcade and on the Genesis. Seemed like it would always hit a last second, full court three pointer to beat you. Hated that - not enough to stop playing it, though. |

| Re: Your first Sports game... Well, you need to buy points and pay to download them, but yeah, they add 3-4 older games a week and you can just download them right onto the system. I hadn't played Tecmo Bowl for a good decade at least before it come out on Wii last month, but wouldn't you know it, I'm knee-deep back into it. The classics never die. |
