Wild sign Schultz to 6 yrs
Minnesota defenseman Nick Schultz signed a $21 million, six-year contract extension today, just months before he was to become a free agent. He's been captain for January and February, and is currently playing this season on a one-year, $1.85 million deal.

He's got 428 career games - the third-most in team history.
