| Wild - Best Start in History Sure, they're only 2-0, but the Minnesota Wild are off to the best start in the history of their franchise. According to Stats writer Matt Becker, "Minnesota (2-0-0) erased an early deficit on Saturday in rallying to defeat Nashville 6-5 at home. The Wild, who have opened a season with consecutive victories for the first time in the team's six-year history, scored a franchise-record five power-play goals in the win." Can the Wild beat Vancouver tonight and keep the streak alive?

I *did* cheer when they won the cup down there and Jamie Langenbrunner and Derek Plante (Derek was a late addition to the team and saw a little playoff ice time) brought the Cup home for us to all see for the first time. I haven't really paid attention to them after they traded Jamie to New Jersey, AND we got the NHL back where it belongs. |

| Re: Wild - Best Start in History It's really funny that for a few years, all the media talked about was Fernandez being traded away from the Wild because of Dwayne Roloson. I always figured Roloson would be gone, since Manny is Jacques Lemaire's nephew. There was a great St. Paul Pioneer Press interview with Manny a couple weeks ago and it's over at Topix.net now.
