The Washington Redskins were the league's most valuable franchise in 2005, with an estimated value of $1.42 billion, according to Forbes. The Minnesota Vikings ranked dead last with an estimated value of $720 million.

Ouch, the Vikings are the least valuable franchise in the NFL? And look at the difference between Minnesota and Washington! Amazing what a little bit of scandal can due for a football franchise's bottom line, eh?

i dont think the scandal had much to do with it

its more about location and how good your team is

i believe most politicians in DC have season tickets to the Redskins, that cant hurt the value of your club

look at the scandals the Cowboys had with Lett, Newton and Irving, and they are still very valuable as a franchise

It pretty much does end at that. Notice most franchises in the NHL are coastal. East coast is the best place to be for a franchise. Unless youre an anomaly like the Vikes archenemies the Green Bay Packers.
