| Re: Dwight Smith signs with Vikings Free safety Dwight Smith, recently released by the Saints, has signed a 3-year, $6.5 million deal with the Minnesota Vikings, according to ESPN. The 27-year-old had 86 tackles, one sack and two interceptions in 15 games last season and likely start alongside Pro Bowl strong safety Darren Sharper. Said Vikings coach Brad Childress, master of the obvious, "There's no such thing as having too many good players." Just how good a player is Smith if he got cut loose by the Saints, though?
