Re: Vikings Sign AFL Defensive End AP) Eden Prairie, Minn. The Minnesota Vikings signed Arena League defensive end Khreem Smith on Thursday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Smith played for the Chicago Rush in the AFL last season, leading the team with 10 tackles for loss and eight sacks. He also led the league in forced fumbles with six, helping the Rush to a 69-61 victory over the Orlando Predators for the Arena Bowl championship.
The former Oklahoma State standout was named to the Arena League's All-Rookie league in his only season with the team.
With the Vikings, Smith will be reunited with former Cowboys' linemate Kevin Williams and defensive line coach Karl Dunbar The Few the proud...good to see another AFL make the cross over...aren't the Vikings the same team that sign a WWF Wrestler a few years ago? |
