"Vikings Head Coach Brad Childress announced today that Gus Frerotte will replace Tarvaris Jackson as the starting quarterback on Sunday against the Panthers."

“I feel like we have an opportunity here that I don’t want to let pass by,” Coach Childress said. “Obviously we have a chance to have a successful season and I think so we don’t let things potentially slip away, what we’re doing is I’m going to make a change at quarterback.”

This is a huge change for the Vikings, and seems about time they made the change.

I'm excited to see what Gus can bring to the table because I was liking what Jackson was serving up.
