Vikings agree to deal with Frerotte

Since the Texans say they arent interested in trading Rosenfels, the Vikings have signed Gus Frerotte as a veteran back up to Tavaris Jackson. Frerotte is back to Minnesota once again. He was the back up to Daunte Culpepper in 2003 and 2004.

Good signing. Nice to have a veteran who can do a decent job should Jackson falter.

I'm not too sure about the decent job part Lefty. I wouldnt want him in there very long. He can still throw the ball, but that is about it.

Great signing, Freotte is a great back-up and can start, and I haven't liked what I've seen with Jackson, so great deal.

Looks like I'm outnumbered here, although I can see why you would say its a great deal bears. Better Gus facing the bears than some others

From the Vikings side of things it is a great deal, Jackson hasn't been impressive by any strecth of the imagination.

Jackson needs all the teachers and mentors he can get if he wants to lead the vikings. Good signing
