Adrian Peterson Offensive Rookie of the Year

No surprise here - Vikings RB Adrian Peterson has been named the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year.

According to the AP, "Peterson, who set the league mark for rushing in a game with 296 yards in a 35-17 victory over San Diego, also had a 224-yarder in a win against Chicago. The key to Minnesota's improvement to an 8-8 record this season, he led the NFC with 1,341 yards rushing, second only to San Diego's LaDainian Tomlinson in the league. His 78 points on 13 touchdowns were second in the conference." Definitely the correct pick, right?

No doubt in my mind that Peterson was the best rookie on offensive this year.

Shouldn't be doubt in anyone's mind. No other player was even in A.D.'s league this year.

That's why whether you get the 3rd pick in a draft or the 6th pick is all a crap shoot. Peterson was the 7th pick this year.

He was 7th not because of talent, but because of past injuries...and sure enough he did get nicked up a bit...

Re: Adrian Peterson Offensive Rookie of the Year

If Minnesota cannot open up the passing game, Peterson will be corralled like he was at the end of the season. He was totally stopped in the last three games.
