| Not a pretty win In the 2000 blockbuster drama Gladiator, Maximus dispatches an opponent and screams at the bloodthirsty crowd, "Are you not entertained?" The Vikings and Oakland Raiders entertained the 62,960 at the Metrodome Sunday, but they also showed why they are not among the NFL's elite teams. With a combined five wins entering the game, the two teams displayed a how-not-to football guide on Sunday. Among the lowlights: -- Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson's ghastly toss into the end zone on first and goal from the Raiders' 3-yard line (the pass was intercepted by cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha in the first quarter); -- The six total turnovers (five by the Vikings); -- An untimely kickoff out of bounds (by Raiders' kicker Sebastian Janikowski in the final four minutes); -- The potential game-sealing interception that was fumbled away on a run back (by Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway with 1:55 left to play); -- And an inexplicable false start on a scramble for a spike (by Raiders receiver Tim Dwight with 12 seconds left). When time mercifully ran out, with former Vikings quarterback Daunte Culpepper's desperation end zone heave batted down by safety Darren Sharper, the Vikings won 29-22. http://www.twincities.com/ci_7501496...nclick_check=1
