Vikings RB Adrian Peterson was injured during today's game against the Packers.

According to the Associated Press, "The Packers were leading 27-0 late in the third quarter when Peterson caught a pass from Vikings quarterback Brooks Bollinger and was tackled low by cornerback Al Harris, injuring his knee... After spending several minutes on the ground, Peterson was helped back to the bench, where the Vikings' medical staff appeared to be examining his right knee. He did not return to the game." Hopefully, it's nothing too serious.

I really hope it's not something that's going to keep him out or add him to the IR list for the year. I mean he was chasing Dickerson's record and all and it would really be a shame. I'm worried.

I was watched this game before the Bears came on, I saw this play, his leg looked like it went up in some odd directed when he got hit low and left the ground.

Yeah I remember them saying that when Peterson was drafted GDK. Maybe he had too many carries for a rookie. Well let's wait and see officially what the injury is before we declare him to have a torn ACL. We all thought Jay Cutler had a broken ankle and he didn't.

I hope its not bad. He was having a stellar season. I really wanted to see him break Dickerson's record.

The other year when Jamal Lewis was close to breaking the record, during the game they had a live video of Dickerson, and at the end his cheesy grin said enough for me. Records are made to be broken and I would love to see Peterson do it.

The NFL's leading rusher, Peterson underwent an MRI that revealed a torn right lateral collateral ligament, Vikings coach Brad Childress said during his news conference Monday... No timetable has been set for Peterson's return, but Childress said he would not play against the Oakland Raiders next Sunday... The injury will not require surgery, and hurting the LCL is not the same as damaging interior knee ligaments."
