| Vikings release QB Henson The Vikings released 8 players on Monday including quarterback Drew Henson.
Henson was once a highly touted prospect at University of Michigan before spurning football and signing with New York Yankees as a 3rd baseman.
He returned to football in 2004 signing with the Dallas Cowboys. He played 7 games that year and was released in August of 2006 before joining the Vikings practice squad. The team later released him but saw enough to give him another shot this year.
