The Minnesota Vikings announced the hiring of George Paton as director of player personnel and Scott Kuhn as a pro scout this morning, vice president of player personnel Rick Spielman said.
"Paton will oversee the pro department, and will be aiding in the college department as well," Spielman said. "Scott Studwell will remain the college director and will report directly to me. And George will report to directly to me as well.
"I've been with George for a long time ... this was the first opportunity to bring in a couple of guys that are familiar with the system. I think by adding these two and doing some of the things that we have done, we actually have strengthened the department even more."
