Jackson is solution, not problem, for Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings have been scouting Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn in recent weeks, leading many to believe the team has a high interest in taking him with the seventh overall pick in April's draft. Of course, with the draft just over a month away, the Vikings have been scouring plenty of collegiate players and investigating their own needs and options heading into the two-day extravaganza.

Drafting a potential franchise quarterback should not be on the agenda, though. The 6-foot-4, 232-pound Quinn is an intriguing prospect, for sure, but does he fit into Minnesota's needs?

Well, should the Vikings consider drafting Quinn, or is Tavaris Jackson the answer?

I think they made a commitment to Jackson when they started him over Brad Johnson last year. They pretty much said then that Jackson was the future, so why change courses before the guy has even had the chance to prove if he can be the guy or not. Two games, with one being absolutely terrible weather conditions, is not enough to judge him. Hopefully they stick with Jackson and give him a chance.

I like Jackson...but I personally would not pass on Quinn...I like the kid...

Quinn won't be there at #7. If they want him, they have to trade up.

I hate Quinn and would hate if we drafted him. I hate "me first" type players, he isn't a team player and chokes in big games. Kinda reminds me of the Vikings as a franchise right now. Give Jackson a chance, he's started 3 games with the worst supporting cast around him on offense in the league. Give him a reciever, another back to keep Taylor fresh, and another offensive lineman and he'll be fine. Peyton Manning wouldn't be able to do anything with our offense.

Personally I think they should trade up for peterson or calvin but not Quinn although if quin is available at 7 the take him!!

We need a Receiver in the first round and we should trade down the first pick and pick up a third for it.

Use the second pick for a corner or safety.

Use the first third rd. pick for a TE.
Use the second third rd from trading down to get offensive line help.
