| Ravens @ Vikings 10/18/09 The Minnesota Vikings will host the Baltiimore Ravens at the noisy Metrodome at 1:00 pm ET on CBS. Last week quarterback Brett Favre hit the big 40 on his birthday and hit 5-0 against the Rams. Big deal against the Rams, right. But they are 5-0. Ravens lost a close one to the Bengals and are now 3-2. They have this really mean nasty defense that cost the game last week with too many penalties. I am thinking this will be a good test of just how good this Viking team is. Who is your pick? Vikings or Ravens?

| Re: Ravens @ Vikings 10/18/09 I agree the Ravens will be a good test for the Vikings, However I do think the Vikes will get the job done, I think the front 4 will want to prove a little something to Matt Birk, Besides I dont really view the Ravens as being that big of a test, they still have a stagnant Offense, equipped with an aging Defense, however this is the NFL and anything can happen on any given sunday. I do however think the better test will be when the Vikings go up against the Steelers, that should be a very good game. |

| Re: Ravens @ Vikings 10/18/09 Hmmm not even sure where to start, well damn it lets start out by saying 6-0. They say in the NFL quite often it is better to be lucky then good, and we sure as heck were lucky yesterday. We played pretty damn good football through the first 3 quarters and some change. My only beef is that we have to learn how to finish off drives. Yes I know the Ravens have a pretty good Defense, but that is no excuse. I'm actually a little happy with the performance in the sense that I think if we just lollygagged(sp) through this game, that we would have been totally unprepared for the Steelers game, but now with how we preformed in that 4th quarter I actually think we might win this game up in the burgh, or atleast have a better shot at it. Ok so we have been pretty fortunate so far this year with the injury bug, but we got hit pretty hard yesterday, Harvin, AP & Winfield. Although AP returned to the game, im quite positive he wasnt even close to 100%, Even though he came back in, to me it looked like he still had a slight limp, but I hope it was a good sign that he returned and hopefully he will be good to go against Pitt, now as for Harvin & Winfield, well I dont think either will be suiting up this next week. Sydney Rice, again I say lets get this kid signed to an extension, he is doing what most Wide Receivers are supposed to do in their 3rd season, and that is break out, he had his best receiving day yesterday as a pro, and that catch that set up the eventual game winner was nothing short of spectatcular, the defender was pulling his jersey for about 7yds to be able to sort of come along for the ride, and then the defender was all over Rice as he pulled in the catch. Got to give some love to Adrian for eclisping 100yds rushing for the 2nd time this season, and the first since week 1, however im not complaining with the way the Vikes outcomes have been. AP definately did his thing against a very stingy Ravens Run Defense, before last week, I believe Baltimore hadnt allowed a 100yd rusher in something like 39games, then Cedric Benson does it now Adrian Peterson, good job. Now last, I got to give some congrats to Brett Favre, again he is doing exactly what this team needs, and something I personally didnt think he could do, although it is just week 6 going to week 7, his arm is holding up, his body is holding up, he is making the right throws, he is actually managing the game, throwing the ball away when needed and not forcing anything, so for that, congrats. |

| Re: Ravens @ Vikings 10/18/09 Jared Allen responds to Michael Oher | ProFootballTalk.com After Sunday's game between the Vikings and Ravens, Baltimore rookie tackle Michael Oher had some surprising words regarding a certain mullet-headed, crazy-a**, calf-roping defensive end named Jared Allen. "There is nothing really special about him," Oher said. "I think he found out I'm an OK player. Guy makes like $100 million. I think I did all right." Allen responded during Monday's After Party on FOXSports.com, with Jay Glazer. "Well that's just some idiot trying to talk himself up," Allen said. "I beat that dude like a red-headed stepchild, let's be honest. If he was so good why did they have to chip me all day? Ask him that. "That's just a rookie trying to build his self-confidence up. Besides, you lost and your quarterback spent his whole day on the back of his head until the fourth quarter. That guy [Oher] will watch film today and realize. Everybody else in the world saw me abuse him." It's a damn shame the Ravens and Vikings won't play each other again until 2013, unless the two teams get to the Super Bowl. At the same time. |

I see the Vikings making the playoffs, but not going deep. They just dont finish off the game right now. Oher is an idiot. Allen is something else. |
