Re: Favre in Minnesota

The problem with him is that he has nothing but "apathy" for the fans of the sport, by continuously saying that he's retired and not coming back (with tears no less), and than jumping at the mighty dollar.

This is not the behavior of a "legend" or "hero" in a sport, this is just standard greed BS and he's the front-runner for two-faced stupidity.

Re: Favre in Minnesota

The Jets where a wreak Favre came in and won 8 games. How many did Pennington led the worse wreak Miami Dolphins to? If I remember correctly it was more and he started with less. Go figure

Yeah, this. Pennington proved that at this point in time, he's the better QB.
As for jealousy? Puh-leeze. I'm just sick of the indecisiveness. Though if I were in his shoes, I'd make a decision and live with it.

Re: Favre in Minnesota

It's obvious the man can still play... I'm wondering if at this point he isn't able to just walk away on his own, and that maybe he's wantin a career endin injury as an excuse for it to come to an end.

Re: Favre in Minnesota

Oh please don't let him have a career ending injury. We'd only have to hear about that until ice crystals start forming you know where

He proved no such thing. When he played hurt with the Jets, he didn't look so great either. He was healthy last year and it showed.
Better than Favre. That's an obscenity.

There may be something to that. He most certainly is having a hard time walking away. At least he might want it way down deep in the back of his mind.
He's a decent man people. This appears to be his major character flaw. Whats that about people in glass houses throwing stones? I'm not perfect so guess I cant throw any stones.

And Goth, I'd settle for a tenth of what he is getting. Although I wouldnt take any less even for the Boys.

Re: Favre in Minnesota

Oh God this is going to be a long post and may lead to me yelling, here we go.

Brett Favre is forty, Brett Favre is always bad in the Metrodome he's never been good there so he will have trouble playing indoors and he can't play outside anymore, don't drop the he was hurt line on me because the last year he had Green Bay he couldn't do it either, watch the tape of the Week, I want to say 16 game in Chicago where he's dropping snaps and barely throwing it farther than ten yards. He can do it anymore, he couldn't do it last year, he's done. The Vikings aren't better with him they just gained maybe four extra touchdowns from Sage Rosenfelts and ten more interceptions. Maybe Andrian Peterson can salvage them a wild card, but I doubt it, they are a 9-7 team at best. Brett Favre is done

I'm full capable of throwing stones in a glass house

he always had trouble there because it is arguably the loudest arena in the NFL and he was the visitor ... now he is the home QB and they will be much more quiet when he has the ball ..... huge difference

Quote:
the last year he had Green Bay he couldn't do it either
really ????

his last year in Green Bay he had 28 TDs and 15 INTs and he passed for 4155 yards .. good enough for 4th best in the NFL ... and he had a 95.7 QB rating .. good enough for 6th best in the NFL

oh yeah .... and the team went 13-3 and he lead them to the NFC Championship game

yeah, i guess youre right .... he had a lousy year

Quote:

really ??????

well, lets see ..... last season Sage threw 6 TDs and 10 INTs .... yeah youre right again

if everyone stays healthy they can get 11 wins and take the division easy

Cleveland
Detroit
San Fran
Green Bay
St Louis
Green Bay
Detroit
Seattle
Chicago
Arizona
Cincinatti
Carolina
Chicago

those are all very winnable games
