Twins sign Morneau to $80 million deal



Justin Morneau will make $80 million over six years under the terms of his deal with the Twins.
Michael Cuddyer is getting $23 million for three years. The deals are set to be announced later this afternoon.

It is nice to see they signed this guy to a nice contract, but are fans going to be angry they didn't use that money on Santana?

Good move. You can almost say he's underpaid based on what other players who put up his numbers get. But I guess unlike so many other pro players, he saw the forest from the trees. 80 million, 100 million...it really makes no difference. He's set for life, either way.
