The Twins have always been a good 2nd half team but do they have enough to get into the playoffs?

Twins won't make the playoffs, not the way the Tigers and Indians are playing.

I have a hard time seeing them make it with the way the teams ahead of them are playing.

You're probably right, Lefty. But I say that every year about the Twins and somehow, they end up in the playoffs.

Good point. I guess they're one of those teams you really shouldn't ever count out.

Naw, its not their year...they are small market and if they ain't going like gangbusters by now, they can't afford the big hired guns to bring them around for a run at the flag. Stick a fork in them, they are done.

They start a 3 game series tonight against the Tigers so this will be a good barometer.

Oh well. Maybe it's not their year,after all. They've lost 2 in a row to Detroit and they couldn't even win with Santana on the mound.

And the pitching matchup doesn't favor them today: Bonderman vs. Baker.

They will be great next year. Slowey and Garza should be ready for teh big leagues, and Liriano gets to come back. This with Santana and their bullpen makes them hard to beat next year.
