According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, the Twins have signed catcher Joe Mauer to a new four-year, $33 million contract extension. Definitely a good move on Minnesota's part; power looks like the real deal, and to lock him up for four seasons under $10 per, given the current market, seems to be an inspired bit of negotiation. What do you guys think?

I like it!... I think Mauer is a future MVP...a catcher able to hit over .350 and developing power...yeah...I would lock him up.
