Santana was voted the unanimous AL Cy Young award winner, his second award in the last three years. He had a 2.77 ERA and 245 strikeouts and received all of the 28 first place votes.

He's now just six pitchers ever to win the award in the American League twice. The other five include Roger Clemens, Pedro Martinez, Bret Saberhagen, Jim Palmer and Denny McLain.

Yankees starter Chien Meng Wang came in second place and Blue Jays ace Roy Halladay was third.

Hey, I think it would be a good idea if GoTeamsGo gave away its own awards each year.... We could do it with all sports (at least the ones we talk about), and get everyone on the forum involved.
