So the Twins are sending Liriano to their spring-training and minor-league facility in Fort Myers, Florida, for rehab. They're hoping to work him out and get the elbow healthy enough to throw off a mound. That said, surgery is reportedly still an option, if he doesn't show enough improvement by winter, claims Minnesota general manager Terry Ryan. Shouldn't they just do the surgery now and get it over with, so they can get him back as soon as possible?

They'll have him ready for next season so he should just hang loose during the off-season.
