Re: Gardenhire saving Santana for playoffs

Ron Gardenhire is shutting Johan Santana down until the playoffs, hoping that he'll be able to use the Twins ace twice during the divisional series. Of course, doing so might hurt their chances at winning the Central division and facing the Athletics instead of the Yankees. Is this the right move to make?

Re: Gardenhire saving Santana for playoffs

If I'm the Twins, I don't really prefer the A's over the Yankees or vice versa. I'm confident in my pitching and my offense to come up with enough big performances to win.

Gardenhire has been a pretty good manager over the years and I'll personally be pulling for him this post-season among the AL teams.
