Insight Bowl: Texas Tech vs. Minnesota

The Texas Tech Red Raiders completed the greatest comeback in Division I-A bowl history yesterday, recovering from a 31-point third quarter deficit to beat the Minnesota Golden Gophers, 44-41, in overtime.

According to the Associated Press, "Joel Monroe kicked a 32-yard field goal to put Minnesota up 41-38 in overtime, but Shannon Woods scored on a 3-yard run to win it for the Red Raiders... That sparked a wild celebration for the Red Raiders, who mobbed each other while the shocked Gophers trudged to the locker room."

FIRE MASON! Glen Mason has a fitting end to his career as Gopher football coach.

The game was pre-empted in much of the state to show a high school hockey christmas tournament.. which was for sure more enjoyable. I didn't turn even the radio on when I heard(at a basketball tourney) the score was 38-7 .. figured they actually had it won.
