Cliché.com will tell you that this old adage was born in the United States, but so was Larry Krystkowiak, and he is living proof to the contrary.
He has returned to his roots three times, in two places separated by over 1,500 miles, and he has done it with no regrets.
Krystkowiak, who called Milwaukee home for five of his nine years as a National Basketball Association player, returned to the city 14 years later when he joined the Bucks staff as an assistant coach last summer. Then on March 14, 2007, he became the 10th head coach in the franchise’s proud history.
