Missed opportunities and Jeff Suppan getting roughed up in the third inning pretty much sums up the Brewers' 4-2 loss to the Chicago Cubs at Miller Park.
The Cubs (17-14) got to Suppan for four runs in the third inning and that was all they needed as the Brewers (18-14) stranded 10 baserunners. A combination of tough luck, strikeouts and some good Chicago defense is the reason for that number. The Brewers had four strikeouts with runners on base.
