Re: Brewers still Wild Card contenders?

Are the Milwaukee Brewers still NL Wild Card contenders? This article seems to think so, even though "Their ace is hurting again. Three-fourths of their regular infield remains sidelined and might not play again this season. Their best player is wearing a Texas Rangers uniform and their offense has stalled since his departure. And, even in the midst of their most trip-heavy month of the season, they still can't figure out how to win on the road."

So, are the Brewers contenders or pretenders at this point in the season?

Re: Brewers still Wild Card contenders?

I'm not sure right now.

They lost a whole lot during the trading-deadline. Carlos Lee was their main source of power next to Prince Fielder. Kevin Mench won't fill in the spot that was once held by a potential MVP.

I have to see how these foolish transactions turn out before I can predict their future.

Here is what I can tell you:Texas hasn't looked so good with Carlos Lee in their line-up!
