From ESPN, Lee to Texas for OF Kevin Mench, OF Laynce Nix and RP Francisco Cordero.

Guess the Brewers fell out of contention within the past two days.

Brewers were in an awful spot, because there was no way Lee was going to re-sign with them. If they trade him, they look to their fans like they are giving up on the season, and if they don't, they would get nothing for him when he walked. Seems to me though that they could have done better than what they did.

Yeah, I agree with legend. They actually come away from this deal not looking too bad. I mean, Mench, Nix and Cordero won't replace Lee, but they do have some value. Milwaukee did a lot better than I expected with this deal, especially if Mench breaks out of his slump versus NL pitching.

Cordero is a pretty good pitcher also. Especially going into the NL. You guys are right. Not a horrible deal for Milwaukee.

I actually like the trade...Mench has some pop in his bat. Nix can still develop if he stops striknig out so much.
