Reliever Brian Shouse signed a new deal with the Milwaukee Brewers today, worth $2 million for one year. Shouse was eligible for arbitration but reached a deal with the Brewers beforehand. He can earn about $200,000 more through incentives.
"Shouse was 1-1 with a 3.02 ERA and one save in a career-high 73 relief appearances last year. He retired 52 of 73 first batters he faced and stranded 60 of 78 inherited runners."
