| Re: Ryan Braun Rookie of the Year It's a tough call for me. On the one hand, you've got Braun - highest slugging percentage for a rookie in MLB history and mighty impressive numbers at the plate. On the other hand, Tulowitzki led big league shortstops in fielding percentage, set an NL rookie record for home runs by a shortstop (24), and batted .291 with 99 RBIs. I think I agree with Empire - my vote would go with the Rockies shortstop.

| Re: Ryan Braun Rookie of the Year Damn, Gotham has a point. Didn't realize it until I looked at the numbers. Tulowitzki home: 15 HR, 60 RBI, .326/.392/.568 (301 AB) road: 9 HR, 39 RBI, .256/.327/.393 (308 AB) Braun home: 17 HR, 49 RBI, .326/.385/.660 (215 AB) road: 17 HR, 48 RBI, .322/.356/.610 (236 AB) |

| Re: Ryan Braun Rookie of the Year Even in light of the home/road numbers, I'm still tempted to go with the better defensive player. Heck, he was the best at his position in all of baseball when it came to fielding. I was one of the guys arguing in favor of Bill Mazeroski for the Hall of Fame because of his exceptional fielding prowess; I can't go back on that now. |
