| Brewers: NL Central Race It's been a wild season in the NL Central. With their 6-1 victory over the Pirates yesterday, coupled with the Cubs loss to Houston, the Milwaukee Brewers are currently in sole possession of first place. According to the Associated Press, "Prince Fielder hit his 44th home run and Corey Hart also connected to support Yovani Gallardo's six shutout innings, helping the Brewers beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 6-1 Tuesday night for one of their infrequent victories in PNC Park." Can the Brewers maintain this lead, or is the race in the Central division far from over? MLB - Milwaukee Brewers/Pittsburgh Pirates Recap Tuesday September 11, 2007 - Yahoo! Sports

| Re: Brewers: NL Central Race Milwaukee lost to Cincinnati yesterday, 6-5, to fall 1.5 games behind the Cubs in the NL Central. According to the Associated Press, "The Milwaukee Brewers thought they got a lucky break when Cincinnati's top two starters -- Aaron Harang and Bronson Arroyo -- were not scheduled to pitch in their three-game series. A 30-year-old rookie foiled the fun... Tom Shearn gave up four hits over 6 2-3 innings, Brandon Phillips drove in three runs and Adam Dunn hit his 39th homer to lead the Reds to their fourth straight victory."
