Odd story surrounding the Brewers loss to Cincinnait yesterday.

In the first inning, the Brewers were caught in a stike-'em-out, throw-'em-out double play when Gabe Gross doubled, then tried to steal third base as Ryan Braun struck out with Prince Fielder on deck.

The culprit? A pesky mosquito.

"It all started with a mosquito bite," Milwaukee manager Ned Yost told reporters afterwards. "I was just itching a spot and Nick (Leyva, the team's third-base coach) thought I was putting the steal on. I'm not going to steal with Prince coming up. I should have seen it was a preview of what was going to come. It set the tone for the night. I looked up and saw Gabe coming and thought, 'What the heck is going on?'"

No doubt. The Cubs and Brewers are tied atop the division, and the Cards aren't that far back.

The NL Central is the only division where they're not listing the magic number yet. It's still anyone's ballgame!
