| Mosquito costs Brewers Odd story surrounding the Brewers loss to Cincinnait yesterday. In the first inning, the Brewers were caught in a stike-'em-out, throw-'em-out double play when Gabe Gross doubled, then tried to steal third base as Ryan Braun struck out with Prince Fielder on deck. The culprit? A pesky mosquito. "It all started with a mosquito bite," Milwaukee manager Ned Yost told reporters afterwards. "I was just itching a spot and Nick (Leyva, the team's third-base coach) thought I was putting the steal on. I'm not going to steal with Prince coming up. I should have seen it was a preview of what was going to come. It set the tone for the night. I looked up and saw Gabe coming and thought, 'What the heck is going on?'"
