| Ben Sheets 1000 strikeouts Ben Sheets reached the 1,000 career strikeouts mark today against Detroit. According to the AP, "Sheets became the second pitcher in team history with 1,000 career strikeouts... Teddy Higuera has the franchise record with 1,081 strikeouts from 1985-1994." So how long until Sheets passes Higuera for the team strikeout record?
