Indeed.

I guess they just have a good organization this season, and/or luck.

I haven't seen them do well in decades. Late 80's or so.

This is a team building the right way...the developed Fielder and Weeks...Sheets when not injured is awesome...they are getting good outings out of Chris Capuano (a fromer 18 game winner two years ago)...Cordero the closer has 10 saves without giving up a run...

You got to like how they are building the franchise right now...

Definitely, definitely... a lot of baseball insiders have been waiting a couple of years for these kids to put it all together and make a run at the Central. I know last season they were a trendy playoff pick but it didn't work out. Looks like this might be the year. In this era of free agency it's great to see a team like this built primarily on a foundation of youth.

Re: Brewers The Best Team

Brewers earned their 20th win yesterday and have the best record in the NL. They're also 10 games over .500 for the first time in nearly a decade. It's unbelievable how well they're playing. Jeff Suppan has won five straight starts and J.J. Hardy is riding a 16 game hitting streak in the process. How long can these guys keep playing like this?

and all this is happening with out Chris Capuano, the man who was supposed to make a difference in the first place, if he is that when he comes back, The Whole NL Central will never be the same for this year anyway.

Well, its too early to say, If they can keep this consistency than can win, but the facts is They are in a competitive NL, and no matter what we have to see in the future can they win series with the big boys of the AL, that will be proven to us if they can win a world series...

Definitely too early to make a call on the Brewers in the Series. I'm not 100% convinced that they'll wind up making the playoffs. So far, so good, but it's still early.

This is true. What happens when they go into a slump? They are young and may not come out of it if they let it get them down. They are going to make the season fun, but I wish they were in another division. They are not going to let the Reds win the division this year.

Re: Brewers The Best Team

the way j.j hardy has been hitting, I dont foresee a slump anytime soon. where did this guy come from? he hit his 12th homer today,12 hr 36 rbi so far, if he keeps this up all season (which I doubt he will) can you say mvp candidate..

Re: Brewers The Best Team

Can I say Chris Shelton, Now how was he oh well 13 HR's in like 20 games and hitting the bat hot as ever for the Tigers, had him put up as candidate and what happend to him? can i say AAA?!!?

No Offense to you but it makes me mad when people put out candidates so early in the season, I will wait to see if he can stay consistent from here on til well... Ill try August...
