| Re: Milwaukee Brewers 2006 Preview Some more love for the Brewers here.
For those of you who didn't check out the article, which was written by Steven Lienert of the Sports Network, he calls Prince Fielder "the best first-base product in years," refers to the Brewer lineup as "power-laden," calls a healthy Ben Sheets "a Cy Young candidate" and says that Derrick Turnbow "is lights-out as a closer."
"Overall, the Brewers, who have not had a winning season since 1992, should be in the thick of the NL Central race throughout the season," Lienert concludes. "A playoff spot and 85-plus wins are not out of the question... Believe it or not, but the Brewers could win close to 90 games and make the playoffs for the first time since 1982, albeit as the wild card."
How accurate of a forecast do you think this is? |
