Ned Yost Confident and Optimistic

Brewers manager Ned Yost knows expectations for him and the team are higher this season and he thinks they can be as good as anyone. With a payroll around $70 million, Yost thinks if they play their best ball they can make the playoffs.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel has a great article about Yost and his confidence in his players. The piece ends with the following lines:

Quote:
"That's why I came here. I wanted to come to Milwaukee and help, in some small way, to build this organization into a championship-caliber organization. That's my goal. It'll happen. There's no 'if.' It'll happen."
Can Yost even lead the Brew Crew to the post-season?

Re: Ned Yost Confident and Optimistic

Boy, you know... a lot of people were on their bandwagon last year. They had/have a lot of young talent. But unlike last year, I'm not sure as many people are going to jump on the bandwagon. I, for one, am skeptical they will ever be a playoff team under Yost. Pitching right now is a bit of a question mark, as is the fact that some of their young hitters underperformed last season.
