| Re: Brewers acquire C J.D. Closser So this catcher Closser was waiver by the Colorado Rockies after hitting .196 (19-for-97) with 2 home runs and 11 RBI in 32 games. Defensively, he looks about as solid as Mike Piazza, as Closser threw out just 6 out of the 23 players who attempted to run on him. On the plus side, the guy is a switch-hitter, so that's got to count for something, right?

| Re: Brewers acquire C J.D. Closser I like him as a back-up catcher although you clearly want a guy on your bench with at least a good arm. I'm sure he'll spend time in the minors and for his sake, work on his bat. |
