Re: Michigan -vs- Notre Dame

I highly doubt if they don't win this week they won't win another game all year, in fact I would bet that's not the case. In any event I'll agree this is a "must" win for Michigan's coaching staff. No more excuses now, they're playing a team they are better than and are supposed to have a better coaching staff than Notre Dame. Not to mention they have THE best front four in the Big Ten and probably one of the top 3 Defenses in the conference as well. I look for this to be an ugly game

Michigan 13
Notre Dame 9

Typical SEC attitude.

Michigan is going to win this game and they're going to win it by at least 2 TDs. Steven Threet finally got the starting job he deserved from the beginning and he's shown he can make decisions with his legs pretty quickly. He's not fast but he's not a pocket squatting QB like some others I've seen.

I hope RR lets him stay in the game a while without swapping him and Sheridan in and out like he has been.

See here is my problem the reason the SEC views both these teams as terrible is because our worst team in the conference beats both of these pretenders hands down. Neither school is going to blow the other out I look for a 3pt or less win by either side.

I hate to break it to you and your SEC fan boys but you have some real jokes in your conference in and no way shape or form are THE conference in college football, I'll make an argument for the Big 12 and the Pac10. Just because Ohio State can't beat an SEC school doesn't mean all of them suck, remember a down year in the big ten last year only got you guys 3-3 bowl record head to head wise with us.

It was my opinion. I gave it because it is that. My opinion. get over it. It isn't my fault that Michigan and ND will both lose multiple games, playing cream puff schedules. Anyway I would watch what you say because a comment very similar to that got me into some trouble.

How many national titles does your conference have vs how many the SEC has? Year in and Year out the BIG JOKE is the BIG 10. That is how you determine who is on top.... FOLLOW THE MONEY!

CBS and ESPN gave a little over 2.4 Billion for the rights to broadcast the SEC games. Ya'll just managed a podunk cable system WhooHOO! Wake up and smell the coffee.

You seriously didn't just ask that stupid question did you? JUST Michigan and Ohio State have 16, just those schools combined have 16, understand that. That is not counting the other 9 schools.

The SEC isn't the best conference because it has the biggest fan based, that is just stupid to use as an argument. You really need to come down to earth. I keep hearing of this SEC speed when frankly it's a joke. How about Florida's bowl game last year vs a dead and buried UM team that lose to App St. and only mustered 150 yards of offense vs. Ohio State? How about the fact the the SEC and Big Ten went 3-3 head to head last year in bowl games and this is about the lowest I've ever seen the big ten, so you sit there trying to tell how how great it is and how bad the big ten is yet your teams can only go .500 vs the terrible big ten? The SEC is all hype, all I heard was how Tebow was going to show UM why he won the heismen and at the end of the game I was talking to Crable and he looked and me and said, "Seriously, that's the heismen trophy winner?"I remember hearing how when we played Bama in 200 I believe in a bowl game how Bama was back and they were going to roll up on Michigan. Hmm... I seam to remember a guy by the name of Tom Brady carving them up for a career high 4 passing TDs and over 300 yards. You take the Florida game with UF having Rex Grossmen and UM having Navarre(who was a garbage QB btw) and UM had no problem with them at all but you take that same team to the rose bowl vs. USC and it was ugly.

I'm not saying Michigan is on top of the mountain now, because they aren't or the Big Ten is hands down the best in football because it's not, I'm saying give it a rest with the SEC crap when they only can go .500 vs. the supposed worst conference in football. the Pac 10 ALWAYS kills the Big Ten, the Big 12 this year is so deep it's scary. The SEC, no. They have Florida, which is a good team, LSU which may or may not be an elite team they haven't played anybody yet. Bama, a team who just squeaked by Tulan and don't give me this crap about injuries because Chad Henne and Mike Hart with both injured during the first game of last season and played hurt all year, that is part of the deal and it's up to the coach to find a way to come past that. They have UK which has never been a power, nor has SC, Vandy, Miss St. Ole Miss, Ark isn't anything special this year either nor is UT.

My point remains this, there are bad teams and good teams in the SEC, Big 12, Pac10, Big Ten, Big East, and so on.

Even as a Michigan fan looking forward to this game (because I hate Notre Dame), I don't get why this comment kicked off an SEC/Big Ten argument. The game isn't going to be very pretty to watch.

I'm not sure either. I was just giving my honest assemsent of how I think the game will go. I had no idea that my opinion would start a word brawl.

Re: Michigan -vs- Notre Dame

I made my comment because it's always SEC fan that talks crap about the Big 10 more than anywhere else.

Few more hours and we'll see if your "uggliest game" prediction is true or not.

I took nothing into your comment, just stating my opinion from always hearing how great the SEC is, it's mostly hype and until my school and most of the schools in my conference starts getting beat often I'll stick by that

I do think this will be an ugly game. How can it not be? You have a bad Notre Dame team and a bad Michigan team. The difference between the two is Michigan has a monster D-line and Notre Dame doesn't. Plus it's going to be wet, it's not going to be pretty but if it's a win I'll take it- DE
