| Miles, Stoops, Ferentz might be atop Michigan's wish list ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -- LSU coach Les Miles asked the local media to let it rest when he was peppered with questions about Michigan's opening. Good luck on that. The coach of the top-ranked Tigers became the No. 1 candidate to be the next coach of college football's winningest program as soon as Lloyd Carr said Monday he is retiring after the Wolverines play in a bowl game. "What I'm doing is what you (the media) should do, and that's let it rest," Miles said in Baton Rouge, La. Miles played for Bo Schembechler at Michigan, where he met his wife and later became an assistant. Full Story

Here is an excerpt. "In the 'termination by coach' section of his deal, Michigan is the only other school mentioned. It states that Miles will not seek or accept employment as Michigan's coach.
