Michigan fans have expected Lloyd Carr to retire since 2004, and really
really expected him to retire this year, as the bulk of his offensive stars will either graduate or depart for the NFL draft and a rebuild will be in order.
MGoBlog, which, full disclosure, is run by me, is now reporting that the
decision has been officially made:
Three separate sources indicate that Carr has made his decision to retire official and people around the athletic department are being told. The formal announcement will come after the Ohio State game, possibly at the Monday press conference, possibly a day or two later.
