Beilein's 1st signing class at Michigan
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -- John Beilein didn't have a lot of time to evaluate Michigan's basketball team and focus on prospects to fill the voids when he was hired last spring. Despite the limitations, Beilein was pleased to sign Stu Douglass and Ben Cronin on Wednesday. As it turned out, two really important areas that we needed were a young man who could shoot the ball and someone who could really rebound the ball and pass it from the center position," Beilein said in a statement released by the school. "Both of Ben and Stu fit those needs."
The Wolverines expect to lose only one scholarship player, Ron Coleman, after this season.
