Michigan QB Ryan Mallett, a freshman, will make his first career start this Saturday against the Fighting Irish. According to RyanMallett.org, "Mallett is a huge quarterback prospect with a cannon arm. He’s very strong in the pocket and is a load for defensive linemen... [his] size allows him to shake off would-be sacks and his strong arm and release allow him to put the ball in tight spaces." So what's the good word on Mallett? How do you think he'll fare against Notre Dame?

Mallett has helped the Wolverines achieve back-to-back victories in his first two starts, but there's no guarantee from coach Lloyd Carr that he'll start this weekend against Northwestern. "It's to a point now where the doctors will leave it up to Chad, how he feels and of course, it will depend on what I see and what I think," Carr told reporters recently. "We're encouraged with where he is, but we have to continue to watch him. We want to make sure that when he comes back, his mobility is there."

Why would you make the change back to Henne? I don't get it.
